About the CJC

Providing a place where small voices can be heard

The Friends of the Weber-Morgan Children’s Justice Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, helps provide vital funding to create and maintain a warm and supportive space for child abuse victims during the investigative process.

History of the CJC

The Children's Justice Center (CJC) opened in 1991. It was the first CJC in the state of Utah. It was designed to provide a child-friendly, comfortable environment that helps reduce victim trauma during child abuse investigations. Now every county in the state is served by a CJC. The one in Ogden serves children from Weber and Morgan Counties. In the summer of 2025, we moved to our fourth location. This building was specially designed to meet the unique needs of child victim investigations. The center was originally established to serve children 17 years of age or younger who are victims of alleged sexual or physical abuse. In recent years, there has been an increased demand for services for other crimes involving children, such as domestic violence, drug endangerment, and internet exploitation.
